Now that it is summer the kids spend most hours of the day in their playhouse, while Dad is still away at work. Mom is just around in the kitchen but she checks on the kids now and then to see how they are doing. Mom times also her visits to the playhouse to bring out some snacks for the children and to see if there are still drinks in the special steel cooler, which Dad left in the playhouse so the kids have easy access to their drinks anytime they are thirsty. The hot days of summer compelled Dad to get a separate coleman marine cooler for the playhouse solely for the kids’ needs for cold drinks due to the hot temperature.
The children’s movements are Mom’s main concern now that there is no school for them to attend and they are just around the house most of the time. Mom however does not want them inside the house before the TV set, as she wants them to have some sun outside and work up as much sweat as they can the whole day for their health’s sake. The electronic gadgets inside the house like the TV and the computer have prevented the kids from their outdoor games, and so Dad has decreed that all kids will have to be in the yard and in the playhouse all day this summer – no TV or computer games in the meantime.
That is why Dad thought of placing a wheeled cooler in the playhouse, so the kids will have an incentive in staying outdoors as they have their drinks and some ice cream on sticks contained in the steel cooler.
It has been quite tedious for Mom keeping control over the kids without a thing like the outdoor playhouse helping her in keeping the kids behaved during these days of their long vacation. Allowing the children to run their own little “household” in that outdoor playhouse complete with a steel coolers for their drinks, allows Mom some free space to relax for some hours with the knitting project that she does right in the kitchen; she just peeps on the kids every now and then.
Mom has to use her imagination to keep the children occupied with the jigsaw puzzles and other games out in the yard for the kids to get some sun and exercise. This prevents them from insisting to go back into the house for the TV cartoons. With the steel cooler Dad has placed in the playhouse, the kids have been persuaded to stay out there until it gets dark in the late afternoon.
When Dad gets home in the afternoon from the office, he also makes a regular check on the steel cooler in the playhouse and inquires from the kids how they were doing for the day. It is also time for his favorite beer that he placed in the cooler while he relaxes in the hammock outside right next to the kids’ playhouse.
