Summer time could be idle time. Despite the scorching heat of the sun, your kids can take advantage of the weather condition and make money out of it. There are various ways to teach your kids the value of hard work and money. On a one hot summer day, you can let your kids sell beverage outside your neighborhood.
But of course you need to help them set-up their booths and putting signage to let your neighbors know that they are selling great refreshments. You also have to help them with their equipment like the wheeled coolers for longer ice storage, the pitcher and the beverages to be served.
One of the classic refreshments that you can help your kids make is lemonade. They are very easy to make. All you have to buy are the lemons, sugar and water. Mix them all up according to your preference. Put them in a glass pitcher, slice thin lemon and drop it in, then you can have great mouthwatering lemonade. If you have more, you can store them on plastic containers and put them in your steel coolers, that way they do not have to cram back inside to make more when they have sold out the first batch.
You can also teach your kids to sell ice blended fruit shakes outside. But of course, you need to have a power source and blenders aside form your basic equipment. There are tons of artificial flavoring in powdered forms so it will be easy for your kids to blend. On top of that you have to milk. Crushed ice is preferred so keep them ready on your coleman
stainless cooler. And do not forget the plastic cups and straws that way it will be easy for their customers to carry around their drinks.
Snow cones are great to sell during this season. They can be made effortless. All you have to do is to prepare around 3-5 variety of concentrated fruit juices so that your friendly neighbors can have more choices. You also have to provide your kids containers for the snow cones and plastic spoons. And still get those crushed ice ready in your coleman wheeled cooler so that they can easily scoop them up. Place the ice on their plastic cups, drizzle with their choice of fruit juice and they can have a simple refreshment that could keep them cool all day long.
There are lots of beverages that you can teach your kids. In any way, if you let them sell them make sure to choose those that are easy to prepare. Always make sure they have all the equipment needed and teach them not to overprice. Better yet, get ready those stainless
steel cooler because in events like this, they are very handy and they can be counted for storage space. I know your kids will appreciate this because the money they will earn can be started or added up to their savings. If they do this on their free-time, I know by the end of the summer, they will surely be glad doing this activity.
